Choosing Happiness

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007
“Many people feel that they can only be happy and peaceful when they are given the right circumstances and conditions. However, we can be at peace and be content in this moment now, at this place now. This is our choice. There is nothing that is blocking this choice. Only our thoughts are obscuring this choice. Why can’t we be content and happy without conditions? Enlightenment is a choice that continues from instant to instant, from moment to moment.”

Talk to your plants

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

I remember reading something in another of Ilchi Lee‘s books. It concerned positive and negative energy, and how it affects us. Many people, at the time, did not understand the power of words. So, an experiment was done with onions. One onion was only spoken to in a positive way, with positive words being used. The second onion was the opposite-only negative things/words were said/used.  The result: the positive onion grew strong and firm. The negative onion eith shriveled, died, or grew very little.

Since then, I’ve started to talk to my plants. I noticed that one was about to die, so I spoke moreloving things to it, did the plant meditation, and it came back to life in under a week.

Ilchi Lee is a breathe of fresh air!

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

We learn how to breathe in Dahn yoga and for many people this is no easy task.  They breathe shallow and their breathing is very disconnected to their body.  Ilchi Lee teaches us how to breathe and thus his teaching and his pioneering mind is a breathe of fresh air.

Ilchi Lee- Dream

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Last night I had a dream about Ilchi Lee.  He sat in a chair and called me forward and gave me some advice.  He looked me directly in the eyes and clearly saw inside of me.  The words he spoke had no meaning, but the eye contact was very sincere and clear.  I follow his lead because he has accomplished things most of us can only dream and imagine…

Lectures that aren’t lectures

Monday, September 17th, 2007

I’ve been listening to my Ilchi Lee lecture series CD and it struck me that they are lectures that aren’t lectures.  I mean I don’t feel like I’m being lectured to.  They are deep and playful, filled with music and laughter.

Moon, stars, flowers and I

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Connect with the sky
opening every cell in your body.
Caressing the sky with your hand
and being one with the energy of stars and the moon,
share the love in your heart.
Seeing the moon and stars in the sky,
I think ‘What do I have to do with the moon?
How am I related with that star?’

We may have no choice but to see the moon, stars and this world
in passers-by’s eyes.
It is just a relationship of seeing each other.
Now by opening our hearts,
the moon and I have become a lot closer.
The meaning of the moon is in me and
the moon has my meaning too.
The relationship between the stars and me,
and the one between me and the stars;
the one between nature, air, and me;
between trees and me; the land and me:
and the relationship between me and the flower in front of me
are now beginning to connect.

Peace in the Brain

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Did anyone listen to that lecture cd by Ilchi Lee?

I thought that it was pretty interesting, especially the exercise included in it. It was so easy and effective…but I have to do it again. I wound up becoming so relaxed, I dozed off!

Through seeing that, I need to improve my focus more.

What can I do?

Monday, September 10th, 2007

The answer…just ask your brain.

That was an Ilchi Lee post, right?

Either way, if I ask my brain, I can know everything!

Tribal Dancing

Monday, September 10th, 2007

Watching the Matrix again (while listening to music. Brain scramble!)

Remember the part where they all celebrate and dance wildly? It reminds me of african dancing actually. I saw a video on traditional african dancing and the dancers really put their whole body and soul into their dance. It was entrancing.   Sometimes, I feel that way when I practice Dahn Mu, the energy dance.

The Sweetest Kiss

Monday, September 10th, 2007

Everyone says that babies are so pure, and I believe it.

Just the other day, for no reason, my baby cousin (who is very young), just crawled up to me as I was lying down on my back. She tapped my cheeks with her tiny hands, blew a kiss with her tiny rosebud lips, then gave me a drooly smooch on my lips, tapped my cheeks again with her hands, and went on her merry way, giggling and shaking her tush as she went.

It was so cute. Drooly, but cute.

An through that, I realized, children have no boundaries and no judgements. They just love unconditionally until negating information is given to them. We should all be that pure again.
