What is a spiritual person?

Friday, September 21st, 2007

A spiritual person is someone who tries to live according to his highest values.  I always thought that spiritual people had to be religious, but I am learning the opposite. I’m really glad about that.

The Secret

Friday, September 21st, 2007

Have you ever watched a movie called ‘The Secret’??

In the movie they tell you about the power of imagination.

I thought it would be kind of dangerous for people to use the method offered up in the film. What if they create distructive things…..

There needs to be more power brains whose conciousness is strong and bright.

What did you think about the movie?

Cathedral Rock

Friday, September 21st, 2007

During my first visit to AZ, I also went to Cathedral Rock, another place that I heard in Ilchi Lee‘s lectures. At the time, it was during winter, so it wasnt very green. I went to the nearby river and dipped my hands into the water. It was so cool. After being there, I felt refreshed, like being hugged by my mom.

My visit to Bell Rock

Friday, September 21st, 2007

The first time that I heard about Bell Rock was through Ilchi Lee’s lectures. When I visited Arizona, I had to go to Bell Rock to see and feel just how powerful it was. I wasn’t disappointed. I actually scaled to the very top and sat atop one of the rocks and looked down. Everything was so small and tiny!  And, I was shocked that I was so high up! It was just wild! Coming down the mountain was just as surprising.

On my first visit to Bell Rock, I climbed without any problem and lived to tell the tale!

Just recently, Ilchi Lee was in my area to give a lecture. The next thing I hear, not more than three days later, is that he’s  halfway around the country, giving more lectures nad inspiring others to do more.

Does anyone travel as much as he does?  Better yet, Does anyone give as much as he does?  I wonder if he sleeps…?

Ilchi Lee on Confidence

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007
From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book Know Your Brain, Know Happiness

Confidence is the first key to activating the brain. We adopt a positive attitude if our confidence is alive and healthy, and a positive attitude increases the speed by which we react flexibly to information, changing and growing. If you are dispirited because of past mistakes or bad behavior, or if you want to change your habits, try saying this to yourself:

“The person I used to be did that, yes, but not the person I am now.”

The moment we acknowledge our past experiences without being ashamed of them or trying to deny them, the brain opens circuits once completely blocked by tension and we start to think new thoughts.

–> I think confidence is the most powerful thing…

Ilchi Lee on Vision

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

“The key to making the divinity bloom is hope, the same hope that forces an endless fountain of energy to shoot forth from within us.  I call this “vision.”  A “vision” is a spiritual business plan in which you lay out the strategy and action plan through which you intend to actualize the divinity that you have discovered.  Vision is the life’s goal that you have created through your choice to be enlightened.”–Ilchi Lee

I think vision is the only answer!!!WOW!!!

Choosing Happiness

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007
“Many people feel that they can only be happy and peaceful when they are given the right circumstances and conditions. However, we can be at peace and be content in this moment now, at this place now. This is our choice. There is nothing that is blocking this choice. Only our thoughts are obscuring this choice. Why can’t we be content and happy without conditions? Enlightenment is a choice that continues from instant to instant, from moment to moment.”

Talk to your plants

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

I remember reading something in another of Ilchi Lee‘s books. It concerned positive and negative energy, and how it affects us. Many people, at the time, did not understand the power of words. So, an experiment was done with onions. One onion was only spoken to in a positive way, with positive words being used. The second onion was the opposite-only negative things/words were said/used.  The result: the positive onion grew strong and firm. The negative onion eith shriveled, died, or grew very little.

Since then, I’ve started to talk to my plants. I noticed that one was about to die, so I spoke moreloving things to it, did the plant meditation, and it came back to life in under a week.
