Ilchi Lee is fond of beginning a lecture with the question to the audience, “Have you brought your brain?” On one level, all hands should go up, because people would not be alive and in their seats unless their brain was fairly active. But on another level, the questions about bringing one’s brain points to how well we are using our brain. Like breathing, we do it to stay alive, but through Dahn Yoga exercises one can learn to be much more effective in breathing for greater physical, mental and spiritual health. It is the same with the brain: there are many things we can do, through Brain Education, to awaken, purify and upgrade our brain, for the benefit of the body, mind and soul.

When I first started dahn yoga, I was in chronic pain. A year and half before started dahn yoga, I had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in my knee. The pain was pretty bad which is why a had the surgery. Funny I remember having to sign a waiver saying there was no guarantee the surgery would help the problem. In fact after the surgery pain level was the same. The attending arthoscopic surgeon didn’t prescribe and rehab and my insurance would pay for it. A year and half later still in a lot of pain I decided to do something about it. So I started yoga, Dahn Yoga. Within in three weeks my pain level dropped it was amazing. I wonder if practicing dahn in the first place could have prevented having to spend all that money on my surgery?

I tried Dahn Diet Program. It is amazing. I did so many ways such as weight watch and personal trainer. Nothing worksed. When I was in diet program, I was in war. But Dahn Diet program is too easy to do. Simply no liquid before after the meal. Chew more than 50 times. Intestine exercise and chest breath. Basically it changes my vowel movements, less stress, clam and metabolism. First 3 week was most difficult time to me due to lack of water. But the theory was right. American drink too much water and it causes to dilute the saliva, gastric acid and so on. Then, how can we expect good digestive system. Actually, I lost 8 inches in 6 months period time. No more medication. It is just amasing.

I always have worry or axiety within me. In my memory, it began when I was in high school. Therefore, I always push hard and am very aggressive. And when I pass 45 yr old, my physical condition goes down. Finally I hardly smile and became more negative. Then I met Brain Education program. It is so amazing. It works so well. My negative talk in my brain became quiet and I am positive and optimistic. Changing emotion is really difficult but changing brain program is far easier. I appreicate his invention.

My insomniac friend who started her Dahn Yoga practice says that she started sleeping — and waking up rested and refreshed — since she started her training. And when she wakes up in the morning, she doesn’t have the same heaviness in the body, especially in her shoulders. She can tackle the day instead with a happy brain and light, nimble body!
Always good to hear of people benefitting differently from Dahn Yoga practice…

Have you read the book, “A mind of its own” by Cordelia Fine? It’s about how our “vain brain” edits the information we perceive and work with, in order to make ourselves appear better. It’s a very interesting read, let me tell you…
