Wisdom

I remember one time when I was a young man there was a bridge under which people threw a lot of garbage. The garbage just piled up week after week. People complained about the garbage, but no one ever did anything to change the situation.

So one day, I decided I would do something about the problem. I began to clear the garbage away, one piece at a time. When all the trash had been hauled away, I buried it in a hole that I had dug in the mountains. I then planted pumpkin seeds in the ground covering the trash. Soon, big, beautiful pumpkins were growing there.

This was a huge moment of discovery for me. It came at a moment when I felt truly hopeless about my life. In my early twenties, I had failed the college entrance exams three times. I realized that all I really needed was the opportunity to do something positive for peopel, and that something positive could even come from a pile of trash.

True brain mastery is the ability to see possibility, even where others see only trash. Those pumpkins grew so well precisely because the garbage had been there before; the trash added nutrients to the soil.

For real brain mastery, you must learn to see your life in the same way, realizing that all the difficult, ugly parts of life can become the compost from which grows your own fulfillment. The trick is to keep a positive mind so that all the beautiful possibilities of life can be seen.

Be Truthful

Once you have really clarified for yourself your new identify, you must work diligently to stay true to it.

This is more easily said than done.  There may be many forces at play that would like to redefine your new identity.

Some of those forces come from outside of you. There may be many people who are invested in having you act and think in the way that suits them.

Of course, if you go along with these forces, you are not managing your own brain at all.

You are letting someone else manage it for you.

The most formidable opponent to your true identity, however, may come from within yourself. This is called your ego.

Your ego is not a bad thing in itself; it is there to ensure your physical happiness in life.

But your ego does not want you to take an unusual path because it is far less comfortable. From your ego’s point of view, it is far better for you

to take a safe route in life that ensures basic security and status within society.

To avoid the pitfalls of the ego, try to recognize when your need for control, recognition, or security has taken over.

You need only one thing in the world.

It is not money. It is not fame. It is not even food.

All you need in the world is hope.

As long as you have that, you have everything. This is your birthright that you should never lose. If you keep hope, all your other necessities will come soon enough.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Can’t you see? I’m studying,” he replied.

“Why are you studying?” I asked.

“A quiz is coming up. I have to get good grades to get into a good college.”

“Why do you want to go to college?”

“To be successful.”

“What are you going to do after becoming successful?”

“Live happily.”

“What is happiness?”

Do you know the answer?

Scientifically if you really look at matter it is a form of energy.  There is a theory that energy shows up as either light, sound or, vibration.  Some scientist found that the smallest recordable building block of matter is a vibration.  It can change the idea one has about being low on energy.  That really makes it mind over matter then right?

My study of my brain has led me to realize that the place of nothingness is in my brain.  I watched my brains response to my actions that I make with my body.  My posture, my voice, my response time, my speed when moving, my gestures, smiling all effect my brain and helps in the process of creating thoughts.  The information I have about the different actions creates the effect those actions have on my brain.  What does this mean?  That my actions themselves are not good or bad it is my information that makes them good or bad.  After realizing this then I wondered: is there any natural actions that my brain responds to without any judgement.  I realized that even since my first day on Earth I was bombarded with information around me that told me what was good and what was bad.  When I laughed my parents laughed.  When I cried they were not happy.  When I smilled they smilled and on and on and on.  The next question that came up was what did my brain think before the external influence.  I asked myself this question and reflected deeply inside for the answer.  The only answer I received was Nothing.  That means that all this time the meditators search to become nothing is not something to become at all.  It is the natural state of everyone.  Realizing this was a huge relief.  I don’t need to gain anything because I already have it inside of me.

To me nature is like a silent grandparent.  Not many people pay attention to it but they always get love from and can always come to it when they need something.  Like a grandparent we should treat it with alot of consideration.  We should make sure it is healty and able to function well.  We should take care of its needs.  It is really in our best interest to become the Earth’s favorite grandchild.  We shouldn’t just receive love we should also give it.

Wouldn’t the true mind be the mind that favors all the positive characteristics of human character and values?  For instance: peace, love, sharing, forgiveness, truth, justice and many many many more.  Let’s just start with these six listed here.  Due to the possible difference in information we each have regarding these words we should come to some sort of zero point of agreement regarding the meaning of each.  Agreed?

To truly create something first we need a picture in our minds of what we will create.  Then we need a plan to go about making appear in reality.  Next we need the will to take action.  The means can be changed from time to time depending on the situation.  It may-not seem like it is really creation when we make our ideas reality.  We sometimes ignore the most beautiful things about our life.  We tend to focus on the things we don’t like more.  Odd thing is why would you give attention to what you don’t like to be involved in.

Today I watched the video of Dick & Rick. It was so moving that I could not help crying. Definitely that kind of love makes our society so beautiful. I think what we want & we need is such an impression originated from such a pure love. It makes me look over my own daily life. How much of love do I live with in my daily life? I know everyone has it. But many people forget about it by some reason. That’s why we need practice not just for physical strength but also for recovering our sense (sense of energy) including me ^_^ Today is my last day of 21days training recommended by Ilchi Lee. My goal was 60 fingertip pushups. Finally I did it in this morning. But I didnot practice consistently for last 21 days. Like the Dad, I will start practicing again with love.
