Ki energy is central to life

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

Ki energy plays a central role in the teachings of Ilchi Lee and it is also a key part of every person’s life. No matter what an individual is doing or how they are feeling, they are being directly influenced by Ki energy.

It is not something that can be seen or felt directly. Instead, Ki energy must be sensed through the observation of secondary phenomena. Throughout the course of an average day, a person will witness many signs of Ki energy, but the majority of individuals are just not aware of these things.

For this reason, opening one’s mind up to the world around them and seeking to understand nature in its full potential are important elements of living a fulfilling life and leaving open the possibility of spiritual growth.

While Ki energy surrounds all things at all times, it can be difficult to come to terms with the influence it has over everyone’s lives. Therefore, it is important for individuals to practice mental training exercises, such as meditation, in order to prepare their brain for accepting the truth about Ki energy, as well as their own role in the universe.

Emptying the mind may open an individual up to personal development

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

An empty mind may seem like an undesirable characteristic, but the Korean term Gong, which means empty, refers to this concept in a positive light. Achieving this state of mind may be a key part of personal development.

The concept of Gong states that when a person empties their mind of all the distractions and superfluous information of their daily life, they may see more clearly what is really important and become far more wise than they would have with their mind overflowing.

It is a difficult concept to grasp. In today's fast paced society, few people take time out to reflect on the deeper meaning of things and to attain mental clarity. However, by putting in the work to achieve a more empty mind, the benefits may be many.

For starts, stress levels are often lower in those who are able to clear their minds through practices like meditation. This is a big factor in a world that seems to be growing more hectic and strained on a daily basis.

Furthermore, achieving an empty mind can open a person's eyes to the world around them, making personal development more likely.

Important to ask the right questions during job interview

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

It is crucial to thoroughly prepare oneself prior to an important job interview, and Ilchi Lee says that meditation is one way to become mentally ready.

In addition to this mental preparation, candidates should understand that the questions they ask during the interview go a long way towards potentially being hired by the company.

According to a recent Business Insider article, one of the most important questions a job candidate should be sure to ask a potential employer is "What are the details about my responsibilities for the position?" By doing this, an employer will see that you are looking to understand the fundamentals of the position and how you can do your job effectively.

Another question that candidates should not be afraid to ask is "How will I be evaluated and at what frequency?" This question shows that you care about your performance and want to know whether or not you are succeeding in your role.

One final question applicants can ask their prospective employers during an interview is "What is the future of this position?" By doing this, you make it clear that you care about your future in the company.

With 216,000 jobs added in March, now is an excellent time to apply, but one should make sure to be prepared heading into the interview.

Enlightenment in one’s job can happen unexpectedly

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

Various issues and problems can arise in any given job, and sometimes it takes some creative thinking and using one's brain potential to gain the enlightenment needed to solve a problem.

The key element here may be to focus intently on the given problem, address it from all angles, and then just let it go.

Studies have shown that it's possible for people to solve a problem more easily at work or in life if they are doing or thinking about something else.

Taking a break from the daily grind and engaging in peaceful prayer or medication could be the calm atmosphere some managers need to develop a solution to a problem that has been bugging them for weeks.

In fact, daily meditation is sound advice regardless of one's position, as a moment of clarity can always bring with it positive mental benefits.

Ilchi Lee's lessons on meditation can help new and seasoned managers attain that area of serenity as they creatively think of solutions to their problems.

Living free of attachment is key to achieving enlightenment

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

In order to attain true enlightenment and reach closer to Heaven, individuals must free themselves of attachments of all kinds, both good and bad, and achieve a state of emptiness.

This is the gist of the Korean concept gong, which translated literally means empty. It is used to refer to a state in which a person has moved beyond Earthly attraction and has freed themselves to the point where enlightenment is possible.

According to author and philosopher Ilchi Lee, the soul is more essential than any emotion, which individuals commonly associate with spirituality. Rather, it is more like a bowl that exists inside everyone and can be filled with thoughts, feelings and emotions of all types.

This is why it is important for individuals to empty themselves of these things. When they accumulate, the soul may overflow. Eliminating attachments of all kinds can bring the soul back to a more natural state, which can bring about enlightenment.

Ilchi Lee says that one of the best ways to achieve this is through meditation. This practice can help individuals to focus their minds so that they see the importance of living a freer life.
